Members, your family and friends are invited to
Australia Day at South Maroubra SLSC Thursday 26 January
12pm onwards. Live music entertainment plus top 100
Aussie songs, BBq facilities for your Aussie steak and
snag, some salads provided, bus to drop you home or
local destination from 4pm onwards (for the cost of a
beer $4 p.p payable at the bar prior to travel.) bring
your towel, show your pride for this great country by
dressing up Aussie style (prize for best dressed) and
enjoy a marvellous day at your club. Bring along
necessary cutlery and plates if indulging in the bbq
otherwise the kiosk will be open for fresh food. See you
on Aussie Day when the flag will be flying high AT YOUR
CLUB!

Award Introduction Night for new SRC, BM, IRBC, SMIRBD
and ARTC award candidates. New Members are also most
welcome . Monday 30th January 7pm to 8pm at the Surf
Club, bottom lounge. |

Well back in the engine room of our club things are
moving swiftly with stage 2 of the building renovations
about to commence (16/1). I take this opportunity to
thank the Maroubra Seals for again assisting with this
urgent phase of the project. As members will already
see, preparation work is now underway to commence the
stairs and seal off the internal stairs to the top
floor. Completion date for the stairs is around end of
February weather permitting.
